MV INDOOR DISCONNECTORS AND EARTHING SWITCHES

INDOOR DISCONNECTORS type QAK and EARTHING SWITCHES type QZ

This switching device is used for the switching of no-load circuits in the MV switching stations. The disconnector drives can be either of electric motor or hand operated type, with manual actuation of the electrical drives. The QAKZ marking denotes the QAK disconnectors, completed with an earthing switch.

As to their operation the 2QAK and 2QAKZ disconnectors are undemanding switching devices, supplied in single-pole or three-pole version. The 2QAKZ are the original 2QAK disconnectors completed with earthing switch and blocking equipment, the latter mounted in an area between the shafts of both the disconnector and the earthing switch. Adjustable earthing contacts can be fixed to the disconnector upper or lower contact flags, depending on the arrangement of outlets at the switching station.

Handling rods type IMT and KMT

The IMT insulated handling rods are used to perform manual handling operations on QAK and QAKZ disconnectors, and on self-contained SP-CB type drives, in case of emergency.

Handling rods in the QAK and QAKZ disconnectors, i.e. those without electric motor drive, are used to operate switching devices with rated currents of more than 2000 A.
